LD buoys are high-liner cylindrical, bullet-shaped buoys specially designed to reduce drag in strong currents. The oval design and ribs along the body lower drag so the buoy skips on the surface.
Instead of being dragged down in high currents, harsh weather or retrieval, the buoy stays up and stable — ideal for exposed moorings and tidal water.
